Aspe´s half buried house is located in the typical inner Alicante´s half desertic landscape, amongst irrigated crops and low mountains of great beauty, yet surrounded by a single family residential tissue, dense and repetitive.Save this picture!© Andrés FlasjzerSave this picture!Ground FloorSave this picture!© Andrés FlasjzerWinters are not too cold, and at the same time there is a dominant West wind that lowers thermal feeling. Summers are very hot and dry.Project´s main goal was to achieve an special place, highly related to landscape, in order to live comfortably.Project´s strategy was to work at the same time plot, landscape and building, to obtain the most of them, enhancing themselves to each other.Landscape is a prolongation of the garden, which is a prolongation of the home.Save this picture!© Andrés FlasjzerThermal confort was achieved by partially burying the dwelling. Thanks to that, the house takes advantage of the thermal inertia, that naturally adjusts temperature. This, together with a targeted orientation that obtains winnings in winter and protection in summer, plus a crossed ventilation, results into a thermal responsive home.Save this picture!© Andrés FlasjzerSave this picture!SectionSave this picture!© Andrés FlasjzerBy burying the house taking advantage of the plot´s slope, two flat levels are activated: the terrace-garden area above, plus the house level where pool is located as well.House´s floor plan has S shape, attached to plot´s west edge, where entrance is located too. Dwelling is required pass in order to access the plot, protecting at the same time the pool.Save this picture!© Andrés FlasjzerInner S side generates an open court where main rooms and circulation face, creating an extension of inner space towards outer garden, without an intimacy loss.Result is a white construction that highlights the house, and that embeds itself into the terrain, interweaving with gardens, courtyards, inner spaces and terraces, creating different ways of experiencing the place, and relating to the landscape.Save this picture!© Andrés FlasjzerOriginally published on November 22, 2016. Project gallerySee allShow lessPura Vida Cabins / WMR arquitectosSelected ProjectsAscent Building / Studio Woodroffe PapaSelected Projects Share “COPY” “COPY” Architects: eneseis Arquitectura Area Area of this architecture projectcenter_img Half Buried House / eneseis ArquitecturaSave this projectSaveHalf Buried House / eneseis Arquitectura ArchDaily Year:  Photographs Projects Houses ShareFacebookTwitterPinterestWhatsappMailOrhttps://www.archdaily.com/799819/half-buried-house-eneseis-arquitectura Clipboard ShareFacebookTwitterPinterestWhatsappMailOrhttps://www.archdaily.com/799819/half-buried-house-eneseis-arquitectura Clipboard Half Buried House / eneseis Arquitecturalast_img read more

Iraq sends mixed signals over closing camp for displaced

Posted on

first_imgQAYARA, Iraq (AP) — Iraq appears to have back-tracked on plans to close a camp for internally displaced Iraqis, many with links to the Islamic State group. This comes after a week of confusion and outcry from families unable to return home. Iraq’s minister of migration and displacement said this week that news that Jadah 5 camp in northern Iraq would close within the month was false and that it would remain open for the foreseeable future. A letter issued by the ministry’s provincial directorate in Ninevah province addressed to its sub-districts said closures would begin on Jan. 25, suggesting that the federal government reversed the decision.last_img read more

Good news for Everton and Baines

Posted on

first_imgLeighton Baines’ hamstring injury is not as bad as first feared and he could be back in action when Everton play West Ham next weekend. But following a scan, Everton have revealed that Baines has a grade one tear, the least serious on the scale of such injuries, and is not expected to be out of action for long. “Leighton Baines could be in contention to face West Ham United next weekend after scans revealed the full-back’s hamstring injury is not as serious as first feared,” said a statement on Everton’s website. “Baines will continue to be monitored by Everton’s medical team and, although he remains a doubt for next Saturday, he has not yet been ruled out of the game against Sam Allardyce’s Hammers.” The 29-year-old full-back has been an ever-present for the Toffees in the Barclays Premier League this season, with Everton sitting 10th after 11 games. The defender pulled out of England’s squad for the Euro 2016 qualifier against Slovenia and the friendly against Scotland after suffering the injury in training on Friday. He became the third player to withdraw from Roy Hodgson’s squad this week following the withdrawal of Michael Carrick and Andros Townsend. center_img Press Associationlast_img read more
